Meet the Team

Doctor of Chiropractic Rebecca Nicholas – Clinic Director

DC, MChiro, PGCert Chiro, mRCC

I have been raised with a chiropractic ‘natural first’ philosophy and whilst growing up was shown how important nutrition, sleep, exercise and the outdoors was.

Following in my family tradition, I graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth with a Masters degree in Chiropractic before moving back to my home town and first love, Brighton. I have undertaken a post-graduate certificate in paediatrics and take a special interest in chiropractic paediatrics and pregnancy. I have since completed qualifications to use dry needling and Activator techniques, plus the Webster technique and cranial and visceral techniques which really help support the baby and pregnant mother.

I believe that prevention is always better than the cure. I especially like to remind the younger population to not dismiss their problems but get them looked at, preventing many ongoing health issues later in life.

I acquired the Clinic during 2007 and continue to treat my mother’s, Cornelia Nicholas’ patients, having since retired.

Doctor of Chiropractic Mike Ford

DC, MChiro

I completed my training at McTimoney College of Chiropractic; here I learnt a specific style of chiropractic that can be very gentle and non-invasive, ideal for adjusting both the elderly and the very young.  However, before becoming a Chiropractor, I was a sports rehabilitation therapist and specialised in helping athletes of all capacities recover from injuries and improve their sporting performance.

I believe strongly, that as well as physical treatment, it is important to promote health in all areas including exercise, diet and lifestyle. Encouraging an upwards spiral in health often requires change in multiple areas and I am passionate about helping clients achieve that.

I enjoy climbing, rugby, water sports and calisthenics training. I have a passion for nature and love to garden in my spare time.

“Over the months after my graduation I visited many different chiropractic practises, looking for a place with my values and culture. I knew that I wanted to find people that were not only caring, inclusive and passionate about their clients, but also delivered outstanding service to every single person that walked in.

After declining several positions elsewhere I happened upon Back 2 Balance. It was further away than most, but after visiting once, I knew immediately I would not want to be anywhere else.”

Hi my name’s Hayley.

I’m 23 years old. Originally I’m a Brummie but now I’ve been adopted by Brighton. I’ve had quite an eventful past, full of ups and downs but I don’t let that hold me back. Life is too short to let little things get in the way and I want to live it to the full. I’m always open minded and up for trying new things, I’m always a happy person, keen to make new friends, I enjoy taking on new challenges, expanding my knowledge and pushing myself. I love helping people and getting involved, I always get stuck in at the deep end.

My life motto is ‘ happy mind= happy soul’ you can always make find a positive in a negative situation. I’m a reliable person, very organised and enjoy embarking on new adventures. At the end of each day I relax by reading and catching up on the family’s events.

Hey I’m Faye!

I’m originally from the West Country and relocated to Brighton to study Guitar at Degree level. I took an injury to my shoulder because I played too much guitar! I know its kind of ironic but because of this injury, I began chiropractic treatment and noticed the improvement to my health and posture especially when playing guitar.

I really enjoy informing and helping people so they can get the most out of life and all the spontaneous adventures it throws our way.

I believe you have to make the most of everyday whether it’s reading a book, having the best pancakes in Brighton or playing an awesome gig.

Natalie Pearce – Chiropractic Assistant

I trained as a Beauty Therapist (Please look up definition, very different from a Beautician!). I managed a salon and taught beauty in Chelsea for 12 years until I had children. We then moved to Sussex when the children were babies to be closer to family and to give them a larger outdoor space, but I am by birth a Londoner.

I gave up working while my kids were tiny and went back to work part time in a design company, commuting to London, one day a week. I devoted the rest of my week to my family and our ever growing menagerie, as the kids grew up, I found myself taking on new roles, such as taxi driver and agony aunt to their friends and it felt as if I were running an unofficial youth club or catered hotel, but when they left home I missed them terribly and knew that if I didn’t find something to take up my natural nurturing personality, I would end up as a mad dog or cat lady!

When I first met the team at Back 2 Balance, I felt very at home. I realised that I had missed working face to face with guests and being part of making people feel good. Although I have only been in the clinic a short while, I have found all of the visitors completely charming and I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Roxanne Addison- Sports Massage Therapist

I am so excited to be joining the Back to Balance team as a Massage Therapist. Having always been involved in local sports teams, I witnessed first hand how an injury can impact an athlete both physically and pyschologically so decided I wanted to help. I studied Sports Rehabilitation at St Mary’s University in Twickenham and whilst there was given the opportunity to work within a variety of sports including rugby, football and volleyball as well as massaging at charity events such as the London Marathon and Breast Cancer Moon Walk.

I am a keen rower and spend my spare time battling the waves along the south coast. I love challenging myself so have decided to sign up for an open water 5k swim next year in Wales.

I am looking forward to adding my skills to such a fun and welcoming team who are so obviously passionate about improving all their clients overall health and wellbeing!

Zoltan Molnar – Sports Massage Therapist

Once upon a time I decided to become a massage therapist because I love helping people….
I grew up in Hungary and completed a Hungarian University Hospital Training’s 1200 hour program in 2002. I have been a qualified Massage therapist for the past 16 years and am very passionate about helping people on their healing journey. I have originally qualified in clinical massage therapy but Swedish Massage, Deep tissue, Sports massage and relaxing massage are all within my comfort levels. I specialise in, but not limited to deep tissue techniques focusing on postural issues. I believe in healing from within to properly maintain the body.

Geraldine Wachholz – Practice Manager

My name is Geraldine and I’m the Practice Manager at Back 2 Balance. Before I joined the Back 2 Balance Team I ran my own successful massage workshop business for many years.

I have always been interested in a holistic lifestyle and try to incorporate as much as possible into my life – whether it’s going for a walk, meditating, or eating healthily (Well – I try to!).

What attracted me to Back 2 Balance is not only the lovely, warm and vibrant team but also their philosophy of bringing health to the community.
I enjoy helping people and if you have anything you would like to discuss about Back 2 Balance – just grab me for a chat.

All of our team and Doctors of Chiropractic attend various training courses and seminars during the year to ensure the best, most-up-to-date service is available to our clients at all times. This means that occasionally we close, however all our clients are notified ahead of time, and our answerphone says the same.
