Chiropractic Treatment for Lower Back & Neck Pain
What is Chiropractic?
‘Chiropractic’ comes from the Greek word Chiropraktikos, meaning ‘done by hand’. Today, the World Federation of Chiropractic defines it as: ‘A health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health’.
By restoring normal function to the musculoskeletal system chiropractic can play a major part in relieving many disorders, and any accompanying pain or discomfort, arising from accidents, stress, lack of exercise, poor posture, illness and every day wear and tear that can happen to all of us.
The Chiropractors here take a biopsychosocial approach to your health and well-being: this means that they consider your symptoms in the context of your full medical history, your lifestyle and your personal circumstances in order to help you to manage your problem and prevent it recurring.
